Good scientific practice

Target group: doctoral researchers
This interactive workshop provides doctoral researchers with practical tools to address ethical challenges in research and uphold good scientific practices in diverse academic settings. Through real-world scenarios, engaging discussions, and collaborative exercises, participants will reflect on their roles as ethical researchers and strengthen their ability to make informed, virtues-driven decisions. Participants will leave with access to relevant resources and contacts for further guidance.

Outcomes:
- Articulate and integrate core ethical principles into daily research practices
 - Distinguish between various forms of ‘bad’ scientific practices, including scientific misconduct
 - Recognise and evaluate different types of ‘good’ supervisory and mentoring relationships
 - Sharpen awareness of collaboration challenges and assess their impact at individual, professional, and community levels
 - Make informed decisions that uphold principles of good scientific practice when confronted with complex dilemmas
 
Requirement: B2 level proficiency in English. Participants will be required to complete a Case Reflection Form and submit it to the facilitator two weeks prior to the workshop. Completion of the form is a prerequisite for attending the session.
