Uni Münster alumni meet in Rio de Janeiro

The city of Rio de Janeiro was chosen to host the seventh edition of the annual Alumni Meeting of the University of Münster in Brazil. The dinner hosted by the Brazilian Centre on December 6, 2023 brought together graduates with the most diverse profiles: from a newly arrived undergraduate exchange student to a professor who did his master's and doctorate at Münster and who maintains strong research and teaching ties at the University.

Open call of CAPES for 2024 - Brazil Chair at the UM

The Brazil Chair, one of the most important actions to promote cooperation between the University of Münster (UM) and Brazil, funded by CAPES (Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel), is once again open for applications.

Brazil Science Days and 1st Meeting of the Brazilian diaspora in NRW: Brazil Centre celebrates the success of the event

On 19 and 20 October, the University of Münster (UM) received its first visit from the Embassy of Brazil in Berlin. The two-day visit programme included a meeting at the Rector's Office, several visits to institutes, getting to know the various campuses of the University of Münster, a meeting with the members of the Brazil Centre and finally the 1rst Meeting of the Brazilian Science Diaspora in NRW.

The largest Brazilian funding agency CAPES (Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel) released the results of the call CAPES Brazil Chair 2023.

Fiocruz representatives visit Münster University

The Brazil Centre was pleased to receive a return visit from the Fiocruz Foundation from Brazil

Prof Dr Stephan Ludwig (Institute of Molecular Virology), who has maintained contacts to Fiocruz for many years and initiated the university-wide partnership with Münster University, organised the visit to WWU with the support of the Brazil Centre.
