Central registration phase

Students enrolled at the University of Münster are normally required to register online for degree-relevant examinations and required coursework. For most bachelor’s and master’s degree programmes, this is done through the campus management system QISPOS. The new SAP SLcM system has been recently introduced for selected degree programmes, and some faculties (Faculty of Law, School of Business and Economics and Faculty of Medicine) use their own systems for managing and administering studies.

Registration phase

Central registration phase* for degree-relevant examinations and required coursework in the winter semester 2024/2025

21 October 2024 – 13 December 2024

* Remarks:

During the registration period, you may withdraw from an examination without providing any reason.

Students are not allowed to take examinations or participate in degree-relevant coursework for which they have not previously registered. If a student takes an examination without prior registration, it will not be graded.

Bachelor's degree programmes and Master of Education programmes governed by framework examination regulations also have specific withdrawal deadlines for examinations. With regard to the central registration phase in the winter semester 2024/2025, this means:

Registration is possible from 21 October 2024 to 13 December 2024.
De-registration is possible from 21 October 2024 to 07 January 2025.

Furthermore, in the above-mentioned bachelor's programmes and Master of Education programmes students are allowed to withdraw from written examinations seven calendar days prior to the examination date without having to provide a reason.

Upon notification, the Examinations Office will post the date of the written examination in QISPOS. Students may then de-register for the examination through QISPOS if they wish.
If no examination date is listed in QISPOS, students must notify the Examinations Office of their wish to deregister by completing and submitting the provided form.

Regulations on registering and de-registering can vary for subject-based bachelor's and master's degree programmes.

Please note that registration periods may vary for final module examinations and other degree-relevant examinations and coursework. You can find all legally valid dates and deadlines on the webpage of the Examinations Office responsible for your degree programme.

QISPOS registration for degree-relevant coursework and examinations is not yet possible for some bachelor's and master's degree programmes. For more information, please contact the Examinations Office responsible for your degree programme.
