Short- and long-term lectureships at foreign universities worldwide

With the aim of cultivating academic relations abroad, the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) awards funding to academic staff to finance short- and long-term teaching assignments at foreign universities.

Study and research visits for German academics through bilateral research exchange programmes

As part of cultural exchange programmes and other bilateral agreements with higher education institutions abroad, the DAAD can provide funding to German postdocs employed at universities and research institutes to carry out a study or research visit abroad. The purpose and time of the visit must be arranged with the foreign host university in advance. Lecture tours and visits to academic conferences are not eligible for funding.
