QATCH - the new trend sport
"Quatsch? Quotsch? Kuatsch?" "QATCH!" A new trend sport with a wide variety of names is currently causing a stir in Münster and its international surroundings. And the best thing about it: You have the unique opportunity to try out and prove yourself in this new sport, a mix of throwing and racquet sport!
The trend game event Qatch, which will again take place in the current summer semester 2023 at the Institute for Sports Science of the University of Münster, is planning a beginner-friendly Qatch tournament in Münster.
This unique event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, June 3, 2023 from 10 a.m. to around 6 p.m. on the sports campus of the University of Münster. The game is played on the university's beach courts, but otherwise also on the lawn next to the ball sports hall - next to the beautiful campus café.
The plan is to have a big tournament with diverse teams where the focus is on having fun and learning about the sport! It doesn't matter whether you're an amateur or a professional - everyone can participate, so be there!
The teams are not separated by gender, but are allowed to compete "mixed". The maximum number of participants is limited to 20 teams (4 people each), so that the tournament can only take place on one day. A team consists of three players and each team can nominate a fourth substitute player who can substitute in the tournament. Important: Each team needs uniform jerseys or bibs and its own name.
When registering, a participation fee of 5 € per team is due. This does not include catering (and/or one or two cold drinks) on site, so pocket an extra euro or two!

If the weather doesn't play along, the tournament will probably take place in a smaller format in the ball sports hall!
