YAM Fellows showcase their research

On 1 July 2026, the three graduates of the Young African Mathematicians (YAM) Fellowship Programme, David Jean Baptiste Bilong, Gilles Jordan Pedieu Tcheuha, and Miarisoa Elalie Rasamimanana, presented the results of their research projects. David worked on "Stability and A Priori Error Analysis of a Propagation-Form Domain-of-Dependence Stabilized Cut Cell Discontinuous Galerkin Method for Linear Advection Equation" during his year at Mathematics Münster, Gilles researched "Non-Existence of Stationary Equilibrium Configurations of Three Aligned Rotating Black Holes" and Miarisoa's research topic was "Pricing Derivatives in a Market with Stochastic Interest Rates". Their projects were supervised and supported by Prof Christian Engwer, Prof Raimar Wulkenhaar and PD Dr Volkert Paulsen.

Following the presentations, they were awarded certificates for the successful completion of their academic year at Mathematics Münster. We wish them all the best for their future academic pursuits!
