We are happy to welcome Dr. Thu-Hà Triệu as a new Young Research Fellow at our cluster. She is currently a tenure track Lecturer at the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics, Hanoi University of Science and Technology. She has been awarded a scholarship by the DAAD for her stay in Münster. Her research focuses on arithmetic and algebraic geometry, particularly on higher regulators, periods, motivic cohomology, Deligne-Beilinson cohomology, special values of L-functions, and their relationship to the classical Mahler measure of polynomials. During her stay, she will be working with Christopher Deninger on the interpretation of the “non-commutative” Mahler measure arising from C*-algebra theory in terms of non-commutative periods, involving algebraic K-theory and (topological) cyclic cohomology.
