The admission requirements and selection procedures should be appropriate in light of the programme’s level and discipline. Admission to the master programme “Public Sector Innovation and eGovernance” can be granted if the student:
  • fulfils the general requirements at KU Leuven, where the preliminary checks on completeness and eligibility are done.
  • has a first academic bachelor degree (min. 180 ECTS) in public administration, social science, political science, information systems, information science, informatics, engineering, business, law. Other applications will be taken into consideration depending on the other selection criteria. The admission policy is intended to ensure equal opportunity of access to higher education for qualified students.
  • proves a good command of English, both spoken and written. All non-native English speakers are required to submit an English proficiency test (C 1-level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages: TOEFL-iBT min. 100 points, IELTS min. 7 points). These tests are not required if students can prove that some of their previous studies were successfully completed in English.
The general admission is granted at the KU Leuven according to Belgian law in line with the mentioned requirements. The students then will also be enrolled at the University of Muenster and Tallinn University of Technology according to this decision. All eligible applicants (formal requirements fulfilled) will be evaluated on the basis of their application by at least one of the involved universities and then be invited to an Interview with the academic committe (personal or via Videochat). From the evaluation of the documents and the interview, the academic committee will decide on granting access to the programme.
The admission to the Master thesis will be granted if the immatriculation has been carried out at all involved higher education institutions and if 60 ECTS have been obtained.
