Various markers and measurement methods

A look at the present

Following Prof. Nicol’s early retirement and Dr. Peikenkamp’s interim leadership of the lab, Prof. Wagner was appointed to the chair of “Movement Science with a focus on Biomechanics and/or Kinesiology” in 2006 and expanded research in movement science, in part thanks to new technologies. With the founding of the “Open Lab” motion laboratory in 2012, kinematic and kinetic measurement methods, among other things, could be consolidated in one location. Whether human, animal, bicycle, or car, anything that generates motion can be measured from multiple perspectives. Through new methods, such as computer-aided modeling, forces within the body can also be visualized.
