General Studies
As a supplement to our regular bachelor’s degree programmes, the University of Münster offers cross-disciplinary General Studies courses which allow bachelor’s students to gain essential skills for their future academic and professional career. The courses in the General Studies programme are offered by various faculties and central facilities of the University and are divided into competence areas:
- Competence area 1: (Foreign) language competence
- Competence area 2: Scientific-philosophical competence
- Competence area 3: Rhetorical skills and presentation competence
- Competence area 4: Career preparation and practical competence
- Competence area 5: (Inter-)cultural and creative competence
