General Studies

As a supplement to our regular bachelor’s degree programmes, the University of Münster offers cross-disciplinary General Studies courses which allow bachelor’s students to gain essential skills for their future academic and professional career. The courses in the General Studies programme are offered by various faculties and central facilities of the University and are divided into competence areas:

The General Studies exist as an open offer. This means that offers can be selected depending on the study objective and motivation. Some subjects and fields of study already provide for certain courses within the framework of General Studies. In addition, however, there is still freedom of choice for further courses. Please note that only the courses listed in the course catalog under General Studies can also be recognized as General Studies.
