Summer Party

Every summer semester, Department 10 hosts a summer festival for all students and staff of the department. This year the festival will again take place directly behind the Schloss at the pavilion. Before the current construction measures, the maths campus was always used as a venue.

Every year we invite you to enjoy a fresh cold drink, grilled (vegan) sausages as well as delicious cake and coffee while listening to relaxing music.

To burn off the various delicacies right away, all members of the department can also get active in sports: At the spikeball tournament we determine the most powerful mathematicians and the most impressive computer scientists. Studies have shown: Especially during the finals the air crackles with tension – and in at least 50 % of all cases (statistically surveyed) the sun shines beautifully on the Schlossgarten. In addition, you can rent all kinds of other games or simply enjoy the good weather on a picnic blanket. The day usually cannot end any better.

A highlight of every summer festival is the ceremonial awarding of the prize for special commitment in teaching to a lecturer of the department.
