main perspectives

Mathematicians and computer scientists are in high demand in the job market, so you don't need to worry during your studies about the next step!… But let's be honest: Do you have a clear idea of what you will actually be working on in the companies of this world?

main perspectives, a collaboration between MMGS and the Mathematics & Computer Science Student Council, is aimed at bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral students in mathematics or computer science and helps you answer this very question. In one evening, three companies will present themselves in three speaker slots. Each slot consists of a 15-minute presentation followed by a short Q&A session. The premise for the presentations is: They must be given by graduates in mathematics or computer science and provide concrete insights into the specific problems and challenges that mathematicians or computer scientists can expect in the respective companies. In addition to our three speaker slots, we allocate a wildcard per event to a young startup from the region to support Münster as a startup location and to give you insights into young and emerging companies.

After the presentations, you will have the opportunity to engage directly with company representatives and make valuable contacts over a cozy buffet and refreshing drinks.

A documentation of past events can be found on the MMGS website.
