“Women in Science” network
“Women in Science” is a network of women doctoral researchers from “Cells in Motion” labs. The team invites renowned women scientists from across the globe to Münster. Invited scientists present their work within lecture and symposia of our local research networks. Additionally, the “Women in Science” group organises informal exchanges with the speakers to get insight into some of the prevalent challenges, discuss career decisions and offer guidance, especially for women scientists in-the-making. The group encourages researchers from different disciplines to participate, growing the team further. Regular meetings take place on the first Wednesday of each month.
Career interviews with speakers:
- “I feel that being a scientist is the best profession ever”: An interview with Prof. Sara Wickström
- “I want to do science as a mother, as a woman and as somebody that has my own way of doing things”: An interview with Prof. Maya Schuldiner
- “Sharing scientific discoveries is important”: An interview with Prof. Ana-Maria Lennon-Duménil
- “I keep the positives of science into focus”: An interview with Prof. Marianne Bronner
- “What matters most in doing research is enjoying the process”: An interview with Prof. Anna Akhmanova
- “Being part of a group enhances joy and reduces the negative effects of failure”: An Interview with Prof. Valentina Greco
