Inauguration lecture Prof. Dr. Ora Hazak 12.11.2025

Junior TT Professor Dr. Ora Hazak gave her inaugural lecture on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, entitled “Talking from the underground: studying communication in plant roots.” The lecture took place in a full auditorium before her colleagues, students and guests. After providing an engaging insight into the underground root life of the tomato plant, Dr. Hazak answered questions from the audience. Afterwards, the Junior Professor invited everyone to join her in a toast to celebrate the successful afternoon.

The Dean welcomed Ora Hazak on behalf of the entire department as an Junior TT Professor at the Institute of Biology and Biotechnology of Plants.

Ora Hazak has been conducting research and teaching at the Department of Biology since January 2025.
