The Center for Biology Education (ZDB) promotes science and education in biology teaching and biology didactic issues. These are designed explicitly to the mediation of biological knowledge and technical and transferable skills, which are relevant for the life sciences.

Important concerns that we pursue are the following:

• Implementation of didactic teaching and learning research,
• Promotion and preservation of scientific information and opinion exchange for all those involved in the field of mediation of biological knowledge and skills and interested individuals,
• Promotion of young scientists,
• Promotion of scientific education and training,
• Mediation of action-related knowledge about the biology classes and
• Cooperation with national and international organizations comparable scientific task.
