Münster University welcomes international students

International Office informs about studying and living in Münster

The University of Münster welcomes 165 international exchange students for the new summer semester, 70 of whom already arrived in March. The International Office provided information about studying and living in Münster at a hybrid welcome event. In the coming days, further events will take place to get to know the place of study. The majority of exchange students take part in the Erasmus exchange programme of the European Union. However, so-called "Incomings" from non-European countries also study at the University of Münster for one or two semesters. Until courses start in April, most of them attend an intensive language course at the University's Language Centre. Most of the exchange students this time come from Turkey, a total of 38 people, and from Italy, 21 people.

In addition to the exchange students, 34 international students will start at Münster University in the summer semester who want to do their full Bachelor's, Master's or state examination studies. For them, too, there are various information and orientation offers - such as a city rally - in addition to a welcome event. Some of them are still in their home country and have to wait for their visa, which is why there is also a digital information event. Furthermore, as part of the "Buddy Programme", more than 200 students from Münster support all international students, especially in getting to know the university and the city.
