Info event: „Staying in Germany as a Career Choice“

Welcome Centre and Graduate Centre inform on November 10 about long-term stays of international scientists in Germany

The Welcome Centre of the International Office of the University of Münster, in cooperation with the Graduate Centre and further partners, invites all international scientists and their hosts to an information event. On November 10 (Thursday) from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., all interested parties will have the opportunity to receive information about their stay in Münster and at university The event will take place at the Alexander von Humboldt-Haus, Hüfferstraße 61, in Münster. Registrations are possible until November 7 at https://wwuindico.uni-muenster.de/event/1587/.

At the beginning of the event, the Welcome Center, the Graduate Center and the WWU Personnel Department, as the central university institutions for the support of international researchers, will present their function and service offers. Then, Prof. Martin Wild, coordinator of the "CiM-IMPRS" graduate program, and Dr. Jan Schmidt, head of the Graduate Centre, will talk about career opportunities in academia and the private sector. The Federal Employment Agency will provide information on access to unemployment benefits I for international scientists. Then, the Office for Migration and Integration of the City of Münster will introduce itself and provide information on its own working methods and the possibilities of applying for various residence titles for research-related activities at the University of Münster or in the context of self-employment. Among other things, the presentation will provide a detailed overview of the current legislation on immigration and long-term residence. Questions from the audience are welcome and will be answered directly, if possible.
