Award for Prof. Ryan Gilmour: The organic chemist of the University of Münster has been appointed "Prof. David Ginsburg Lecturer" at the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology for the academic year 2020/21. The Institute annually selects an outstanding chemist from other research institutions to strengthen international cooperation in science and teaching. "The lectureship is an exciting opportunity to forge links between the University of Münster and the Technion in Israel," says Ryan Gilmour.

The award is presented in memory of David Ginsburg, who established the Technion's Faculty of Chemistry and was its first dean. As one of the world's most prominent organic chemists, David Ginsberg was active in facilitating new collaborations between the Technion´s Schulich Faculty of Chemistry and prominent scientists from around the world.

It is Ryan Gilmour's second prize this year coming from another university. He was previously awarded the "Allergan Lectureship 2019" of the University of California in Irvine, USA, where he gave a lecture at the beginning of November.
