Junior research groups

The University of Münster offers organisational and financial support to academics who are interested in establishing junior research groups. As a group leader, you will be employed as an academically and organisationally independent member of the group of professors at the University of Münster. Moreover, you will be provided with a funding budget of your own, ensuring the financial independence of your junior research group for the duration of the project. We actively support junior research group leaders with developing their personal career perspectives well after their externally funded project has ended. Our services include career counselling, coaching and personal development measures like the Young Professors Programme (YPP).

Contact for interested junior research group leaders

If you have secured or are in process of securing funding for an independent junior research group, e.g. in the Emmy Noether Programme or the NRW Returning Academics Programme, the University of Münster looks forward to assisting you as a partner.
