This seminar in the course overview

Content:

In this seminar we will develop techniques for the analysis of stochastic processes. Talks are distributed in dependence on previous knowledge with the aim of extending the mathematical foundations in probability or as a first step for the student towards recent research (which later might be the basis for a thesis).

Topics may be in the fields

- Markov processes in continuous time

- Stochastic Approximation

- Stochastic Analysis

The explicit format of the seminar will be discussed at the first meeting. In particular, we will decide whether we agree on one particular topic (and arrange a series of talks that are building on each other) or whether the talks are rather individual presentations.

Presentations may be given in Englisch or German.
