At this year's network conference, the GSPoL offers exciting insights into current dissertation projects and career paths for academics with a PhD in literature. Alumni, students, university lecturers and the interested (university) public are cordially invited to attend this event. Further information on the program and registration can be found here.

The GSPoL's final event of this winter term is an evening lecture with Dr. Anna Poletti (Utrecht University). Building on their research on life writing after the book, Dr. Poletti will outline how affordances and aesthetics of other media forms reshape and reinvent autobiographical narratives. We are looking forward to welcoming the renowned thinker Prof. Dr. em. Jean-Luc Nancy at the GSPoL. Prof. Nancy will teach a PhD workshop and give a public lecture, which focuses on the abyss and its non-negative potentiality - keeping in mind that the death of god, the end of the law of causation have left us with no metaphysical "Grund" (German for "reason" as well as "ground").
