BA-/MA-Projects
Thank you very much for your interest in joining our research group! We offer a wide range of exciting topics for Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD theses – from hadron spectroscopy to the development of new target technologies. Programming skills are not a prerequisite – all the necessary tools and skills will be taught as part of the project. Those who already have prior knowledge are, of course, welcome to apply it directly.
Below is an initial overview of possible topics for theses. If you are interested, the specific research question will be tailored to your individual needs and aligned with our current research. It is important to us that all theses address cutting-edge topics.

The focus of our jet target-related activities for particle accelerators includes the following work:
- Design and development of new target components and further development of existing hardware and software
- Analysis and optimisation of target parameters and jet properties
- Investigation of the influence of nozzle geometry on beam parameters
- Vacuum studies based on Monte Carlo simulations
- Target operation with different gases
The BESIII analyses focus on the following topics:
- Analysis of current measurement data from an electron-positron collider
- Search for exotic hadrons, in particular the lightest glueball
- Investigation and measurement of the properties of charm-anticharm mesons ηc and ψ(2S)
- Development of analytical methods in hadron spectroscopy
Bachelor's and master's theses can be started at any time – completely independent of the semester start.
If interested, contact can be made at any time.
There is also the opportunity to get a non-binding insight into our daily work and to get an impression of our projects.
We look forward to receiving any message!
