Anton Zürbig wins the poster award

The Institute of Pharmaceutical Biology and Phytochemistry congratulates Anton Zürbig (Herrmann group) on winning a poster prize at the 73rd International Congress of the Society for Medicinal Plant and Natural Product Research in Naples (GA Naples, August 31 - September 3, 2025).

On his excellent poster titled "Gaining ultrastructural insight into the chitin layer of the model organism Saccharomyces cerevisiae to mediate drug development research" (Anton M. Zürbig, Fabian C. Herrmann), which was selected from over 500 poster submissions, Anton presented results from his ongoing Ph.D. project, where he is developing microscopic methods to evaluate antimycotics of natural origin using the model organism Saccharomyces cerevisiae.
