Individual and Structured Support
The Münster Doctoral School of History (PGM) has been in existence since 2023. The doctoral school accompanies and supports PhD candidates in the subjects of History and Byzantine studies in the realisation of their doctoral projects.
With the aim of providing the best possible support for diverse research projects at the highest scientific level, the PGM represents an important element at the interface of individual and structured promotion. From the beginning of doctoral studies to the planning of the disputatio, PhD researchers can benefit from a close and structured exchange and build up an international and interdisciplinary network.
In terms of content, the PGM also ties in with the commitment of doctoral students at the University of Münster, who have independently organised exchange among peers in the form of lectures in the past semesters under the label “Research for Future”. The PGM wants to actively support such independent engagement in the future.
All interested are very welcome! Please find more information under Application, and do not hesitate to get in touch under pgm@uni-muenster.de if you have any questions.
