The Göttingen International Ethnographic Film Festival is a biennial event. The general aim of the Festival is to promote ethnographic documentary cinema giving credit to new films or videos dealing with anthropology in a wide sense of the term. The festival offers the opportunity to meet filmmakers and distributors from all over the world. Organized as a Central European event, films from that area will be accepted with particular interest. A special event is the Student Competition with a prize awarded to the best student film. http://www.gieff.de
