Counselling services

Are you pursuing a degree at the University of Münster? We advise and support you with study-specific and other questions, for example

  • At the beginning of your studies (dealing with authorities, starting your studies)
  • Health insurance
  • Financing your studies
  • Problems regarding your studies or in your everyday life

InfoPoint:
Your contact point for initial questions

Our student team at the InfoPoint helps with questions about Münster and the university, provides support in, for example, finding accommodation or a job or refers you to other relevant offices.

    during the lecture-free period: Mon to Fri, from 11 am - 4 pm

Welcome Weeks

At the beginning of each semester, you can take part in our Welcome Weeks events. You will get to know other students, discover Münster and receive information for a good start to your studies! You can register here shortly before the start of the semester.

Buddy programme

Through the buddy programme, you will get to know students who have been in Münster for a longer period of time. The Münster buddies will help you settle in, can speak German with you or spend time together doing leisure activities. If you would like to join in, you can register here shortly before the start of the semester.

DAAD Prize 2022 for international students

Foreign students who have shown remarkable social or cross-cultural commitment as well as good academic achievements can be nominated for the DAAD Prize. The prize is endowed with 1,000 Euros. Deadline for nomination: 31 August 2022
