Funding opportunities for international students

Like every other student at university, international students are responsible for financing their studies on their own.

Scholarships are available, however, to students who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement or a high level of social and intercultural commitment. There are numerous scholarships offered every year, e.g. the ProTalent scholarship and a wide range of other grants and scholarships from companies, foundations and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). Learn more about funding opportunities here.

If you happen to run into money problems during your studies due to unexpected external circumstances and urgently need financial aid, you can receive support through the Emergency Scholarship offered by the International Office. Students who are in a financially difficult situation a few months before completing their studies can apply for a Graduation Scholarship at the International Office.
