Access rules

The rights are bound to groups in Imperia. You can be assigned multiple imperia groups and you can also accept multiple groups at the same time.

If you have never worked with Imperia before, you must change the university password in the IT portal before logging in for the first time. Before doing so, however, you should already have been assigned a responsibility group.

One can distinguish between two types of groups: Tool groups and Responsibility groups.
CIT assigns at least one tool groups and one responsibility group per user.

Responsibility groups are institution/area-specific groups, e.g. z6xyz001.

Tool groups are:
u6cmsred: This group allows an "editor" to edit rubrics and documents.
u6cmsmdb: Menu items are provided that allow access to the MAM.
u6cmshtm: Under certain circumstances it may be useful to switch to HTML mode in Imperia's text editor. This can make it easier for connoisseurs of this font description language to edit complex tables, for example. However, the use of this role is subject to conditions. In particular, no custom formatting and unadjusted layout changes may be made. These are sometimes discarded directly by the editor. In any case, they will not be caught by the Imperia administration when the editor functionality or design is revised and may be lost. If you have any enhancement requests or suggestions for improvement, please send them to itsupport.wcms@uni-muenster.de (technical issues) or or.support@uni-muenster.de (layout issues). This way you give us the opportunity to consider your suggestions and, if necessary, make them available to the entire university.

Access protection for web pages
