Work steps

Documents status

During editing, a document goes through a workflow. The most important steps are the meta-edit, the WWU_edit and the publishing step. After that, the finished web page can be published. Depending on whether a document is to be newly created or modified, it goes through several of these workflow steps.

  • Publish documents (development system):

Documents that have left the desk but have not yet been published (released) go on the publish list. The finished web pages are initially only on the development system.
If an already published document is subsequently changed, it remains published in its previous form on the target system until the changed page is published.

  • Document browser (target system):

All documents whose web pages are on the target system, i.e. are already online, are displayed in this list. Even if a document has already been re-imported for editing, a copy of the old page remains on the target system until the new page is published. The status of the document is always indicated.
