MSc Data Science

  • MSc Data Science (general information (including application and admission))
  • Note on the Language:
    The degree programme is taught in English for the three tracks “Mathematical and Computational Data Science”, “Data Science in Physics” and “Data Science in Chemistry”.
    For the track “Pharmaceutical Data Science”, some of the relevant courses are taught only in English, some are taught only in German. To apply for this track, you will not only need English knowledge at the level of B2, but also German knowledge at the level of DSH-2 (or equivalent).

Other degree programmes

All other degree programmes offered by the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science are taught in German.

In particular, you need proven German knowledge at the level DSH-2 or equivalent.

Exception: For the BSc Mathematik it is sufficient to prove German language skills at the level of DSH-1. In that case, however, further language courses must be taken as part of the "General Studies".

Please note: These degree programmes are not offered by the Faculty 10 (Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science).

  • If you are interested in the English-language MSc Information Systems: This is offered by the Department of Information Systems at   Faculty 04 (School of Business and Economics). If you have any questions on this degree programme, please contact the corresponding study adviser from the Department of Information Systems.
  • If you are interested in the English-language MSc Geoinformatics: This is offered by the Institute for Geoinformatics at  Faculty 14 (Faculty of Geosciences).
