Thanks to the financial support of the Santander Mobility Fund I attended the CLEO/Europe-EQEC conference from 23.06.2025 to 27.06.2025 in Munich. As one of the largest international conferences in Optics and Photonics, it was a valuable opportunity to present my latest results about ‘Waveguide-based optical parametric chirped-pulse oscillator’ to worldwide researchers and experts. I received lots of valuable feedback and suggestions from other researchers, which will inspire me for my further research and PhD. Moreover, this conference allowed me to connect with many researchers who have similar research fields to exchange our ideas or initiate new collaborations.
In parallel with the conference, I had the chance to explore the “Laser World of Photonics 2025”, which is the leading trade fair for laser and photonics. It was a valuable experience where I learned a lot about current technologies and commercial trends in optics and photonics technologies. Talking to exhibitors from both industry and academia gave me a broader understanding of how research is connected with industrial applications, which I found particularly interesting.
I came back from the week with many new ideas and insights. I am looking forward to sharing some of the interesting talks and discussions in our upcoming research seminar with colleagues from my group and institute.
