Tuesday, 15 September 2026 | 1.30-3.30pm | Online event via Zoom I German

The event network of the Universities of Münster, Bielefeld, Osnabrück, and Paderborn cordially invites you to an online event that focuses on applying for Research Training Groups (GRK) of the German Research Foundation (DFG) and is aimed at researchers who are planning or preparing a GRK application.

Dr. Frank Pitzer, DFG Program Director of the Research Training Groups and Career Development Division, will present the GRK program and explain key aspects of the application process. This will be followed by a panel discussion in which spokespersons from successful GRK initiatives will share insights from their practical experience—including the challenges in the application process, insights they would implement differently today, and their experiences leading a Graduate Research Training Group. The event will conclude with an open Q&A session as well as information on internal procedures and support services related to GRK applications.

Target audience: experienced researchers, e.g. leaders of early-career research groups and (junior) professors
Registrations open soon via Indico
