Thesis defence of James Orao


The members of the Graduate School Practices of Literature would like to cordially congratulate James Orao who successfully defended his doctoral thesis on “Erzählte Interkulturalität. Ein Vergleich der zeitgenössischen deutsch- und englischsprachigen 'Migrationsliteratur'“ (Narrated Interculturality. The comparative study of the contemporary German- and Anglophone Migration Literature) on February 9, 2012. He is the first PhD graduate of the Graduate School and his thesis was supervised by Prof. Dr. Martina Wagner-Egelhaaf (Münster), Prof. Dr. Mark Stein (Münster) und Prof. Dr. Doerte Bischoff (Hamburg). After the completing his BA at Kenyatta University (Nairobi) and his MA at the University of Nairobi, James Orao came to Münster in 2008 on a DAAD scholarship pursue his PhD at the GSPoL.
