ZIN –spokeswoman Doris Fuchs as part of Germany’s sustainable academic landscape

The so called “sustainability map” of the network HochN  has been expanded: ZIN-spokeswoman Prof. Doris Fuchs is now recorded as a partner for a sustainable education landscape.
The network HochN emerged from a project of the same name  that examines the potential contribution of universities to sustainable development in the areas of Governance, Reporting, Research, Education, Operations and Transfer.
The HochN network is seen as “the starting point for [a] sustainable development landscape in higher education [that] spans the whole of Germany and connects all contributing people and institutions who are part of the project by being involved and assuming responsibility for it.“  The HochN- sustainability map visualizes the network and registers German universities, individual scholars or other partners who work for sustainability in the higher education.
Prof. Doris Fuchs, who deals with sustainability as spokesperson for the Center of Interdisciplinary Sustainability Research as well as in her own research and teaching, now also appears in the aforementioned map. Her motivation for being included as a partner for the sustainable higher education landscape was that “without sustainability good life for current and future generations on this planet will be impossible” (own translation).
