"Sustainable Consumption and Social Justice - How to make it happen?"

In September 2016, the Sustainable Consumption Research and Action Initiative (SCORAI) Europe organized a workshop prior to the 5th International Degrowth Conference. The workshop brought together thirty international researchers and experts to discuss the implementation of sustainable consumption and social justice.

How to make sustainable consumption attractive? How can it become a “new normal” involving the good life for all in a constrained world? These questions at the core of the workshop were answered in different ways. ZIN-spokeswoman Prof.’in Doris Fuchs pleaded for the implementation of the concept of consumption corridors that she developed together with her colleagues.

A pointed summary of the central ideas of the workshop can now be found in the new brochure. For more detailed information, take a look at the two-page documentation of the SCORAI Europe-Workshop and the report of the Degrowth Conference 2016.
