Center for Digital Media

The Center for Digital Media (GEO 1, Room 11) supports students in all aspects of digital media and lends out both necessary hardware and software. The service is free for students and faculty members. Printers and scanners are also available.

International Students

The Institute of Geoinformatics welcomes students from all over the world each year. While our bachelor program is taught in German, the master and doctoral programs are taught completely in English. A good command of the English language is necessary for the acceptance into the programs. Assistance with obtaining visas and scholarships is provided by the International Office.

Student Council

The student council, in German short "Fachschaft", consists of voluntary geoinformatics students who stand up for students' rights, organize networking events, are members of official university committees and always support students with appearing problems and questions.
