Explanation of tags:

  • (A) applied mathematics
  • (T) theoretical mathematics
  • [Spec] a broadening course that also occurs within a specialisation module
  • (S) seminar
  • (P) student project

Explanation of the types of the courses in specialisation modules:

  • The two components Lecture 1 & Tutorial combined are usually called a Type I course.
  • The remaining third component of a specialisation module is usually called a Type II course.
  • Every Type I course may also be used as a Type II course. However, this is not advisable in all cases (e.g., if there is only a single recurring Type I lecture available in a specialisation module).
