In this talk I will discuss a recent result implying that the known scalar-flat Kähler toric metrics
on non-compact surfaces written down in joint work with M. Abreu are the only such metrics up
to equivariant isometry.
We will give some background, explain why it is possible in this context to get a uniqueness
result without assumptions on asymptotic behaviour and, time permitting, give an idea of why the
result holds true.
