Animal Ethics

Biomedical research on nonhuman animals is a controversial issue in bioethics. In this seminar, EvoPAD PhD students were familiarized with the central normative theories in animal ethics, core concepts such as moral considerability and personhood as well as with the discussion about the moral permissibility of
experiments on nonhuman animals in biomedicine.
