Interview with Peter Oestmann
The News portal of the University of Münster published an interview with our director Professor Peter Oestmann today. Oestmann explains what the Kolleg’s topic of legal pluralism is all about and shows that it is by no means a purely historical phenomenon. He builds a bridge from the fragmented legal systems of the 16th century to contemporary phenomena such as “forum shopping” in international law. In his opinion, legal diversity should not be assessed negatively in principle as it could certainly bring advantages for the individual.

New article on the Kolleg’s work
Meanwhile, the portal for the humanities and social sciences of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) covered the start of work at our Kolleg. In addition to the research program, the article presents the goals for the years to come.
