To celebrate NRW’s 80th anniversary, Münster’s city centre was transformed into a huge festival from 28 to 30 August 2026. Visitors explored eleven themed miles featuring information and hands-on activities on science, sports, climate and the emergency services.
The team from the Multiscale Imaging Centre, together with the University of Münster’s Faculty of Medicine and the University Hospital Münster, contributed to the Science Mile. Visitors joined us in guessing what becomes visible in research images: migrating immune cells, growing blood vessels, or nerve fibres in the brain? We had exciting conversations about science and research, and together, we discovered how cells behave and processes in the body become visible.
