Due to a technical change, the "uni ms" and "eduroam" networks will now be configured using the eduroam Configuration Assistant Tool (CAT). Starting today (November 2, 2026), access to the university Wi-Fi is only possible via the new configuration. CIT's software training courses are entering a new round with a range of online, Learnweb, classroom, and self-study courses. Students can register for the free courses starting Thursday, 10.09.2026, at 5 pm. The topics covered include office, graphics, and statistics programs, as well as AI and IT security.
From 29 July onwards, accessing the Exchange systems (via Outlook or OWA) from outside the university network will only be possible via VPN with two-factor authentication (OTP). Without these precautions, you can no longer access your inbox on the go or from home. Installing the “Cisco Secure Client” and setting up two-factor authentication in advance are strongly recommended. This mandatory measure is part of the University of Münster's implementation of North Rhine-Westphalia's cybersecurity agreement.
