CAPES (Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel) has announced new application deadline for the second Chair in the 2023 call for applications of the CAPES-Brazil Chair Programme at the University of Münster (UM) with the topic "Modelling Infection Disease Dynamics for Epidemiologic Management".

Long-term networks: Brazilian teams at the University of Münster
If you search for the distance between Münster Castle and the universities in Minas Gerais and São Paulo, the result is a rounded distance of 10,000 kilometres. However, this great distance does not reflect the relationships that the University of Münster maintains with Brazilian institutions in any way. In terms of scientific activities, it is actually one of the most active foreign universities in Brazil.
The Brazilian Association for International Education, FAUBAI, held its 36th conference at the end of April in São Paulo. The organisation, which brings together executives and heads of international affairs from Brazilian higher education institutions, also opens its conference to foreign participants.
At the end of March 2024, with the aim of bringing institutions closer to other Latin American countries, the Scientific Director of the Brazil Centre, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Bernd Hellingrath, and the Director of the São Paulo Office, Laura Redondo, took part in the conference "The challenges of the university system and internationalisation", held in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
