The winning team of the 2nd German-Brazilian EdTech Hackathon, held in 2023 in São Paulo, received a 2,000 euro travel grant to enable one of its members to travel to Germany. The purpose of the trip was to visit the organising universities - the University of Münster, the Technical University of Munich (TUM) and the Free University of Berlin - as well as their start-up and incubator support and acceleration centres, allowing the team to learn about the German entrepreneurial ecosystem and apply their knowledge to the development of their own initiative.

Motivated by the award they had received, the six team members decided that this opportunity should be seized by everyone. With the creativity, dedication and commitment that led them to first place in the hackathon, they managed to raise funds for all members to go to Germany. For ten days, the six students from the University of São Paulo and the Federal University of Juiz de Fora made the most of the opportunity they had to liaise with various representatives of institutions in the three cities they visited. Read the trip report below, in which they tell about their journey from the hackathon finale to the end of the trip.
