The Munich regional group was founded in January 2024 to provide an opportunity to network with other former students in the Munich area, plan joint activities and exchange ideas about their time at university.
Events and activities organised by the regional group will be announced here. In addition the Alumni-Club Universität Münster will send e-mail invitations to the meetings of the Munich regional group to all members of the Alumni-Club, who live in Munich and its vicinity.
On Wednesday, February 26, 2025, the Munich regional group is invited to the Münchner Merkur publishing house.
This event will provide the opportunity to gain an exciting insight into a major Munich publishing house.
The publisher of Münchner Merkur, Dr. Dirk Ippen, will give a short keynote speech on his career as a publisher and the origins of the newspaper. Dirk Ippen is himself an alumnus of the University of Münster.
Anja Najda, deputy head of the University of Münster's fundraising department, and Christian Pasedag, head of the regional group, will also be there to give a welcome address.
Afterwards, the Münchner Merkur invites the group to an exchange over wine and cheese.
The meeting will take place in 80336 Munich, Paul-Heyse-Str. 2-4, in the historic Buttersack-Saal.
The Münchner Merkur is located close to Munich Central Station and can therefore be reached by S-Bahn, U-Bahn or streetcar 18 and 19 as well as by bus line 68, bus stop “Holzkirchner Bahnhof”.
