17 April 2015: Talk of Prof. Joachim Kurtz at the "Kinder-Uni"

Prof. Joachim Kurtz (Animal Evolutionary Ecology) held a lecture entitled "Woher stammen wir? Wie sich das Leben auf der Erde entwickelt hat" at the University for young people from the age of 8-12 on Friday, 17 April 2015. The talk was part of the "Kinder-Uni" (children's university), which is organized by the University of Münster in cooperation with the "Westfälische Nachrichten". The event series is open for third through sixth grade students and aims to stimulate young people’s interest in science. More information

11 December 2014: [Job announcement] Full Professor of Molecular Evolutionary Biology

The Faculty of Biology at the University of Münster, Germany, seeks to appoint an outstanding evolutionary biologist to fill a professorship and invites applications for a Full Professor of Molecular Evolutionary Biology (W3 salary scale, starting date: October 1st, 2015). Enroll now for the botanical field trip to the Oetztal (Austria) from July 26 - August 5, 2014

The field trip is part of the advanced course on "Subalpine and Alpine temperate vegetation of high mountain ranges” (Fortgeschrittenenmodul, WS 2014/2015).

10 April 2013: HFSP has decided to fund a collaborative project on between Erich Bornberg-Bauer (IEB), Florian Hollfelder (Cambridge) and Nobuhiko Tokuriki on the reconstruction of ancestral protein enzyme structures and functions using computations and high-throughput lab-in-a-droplet techniques. 1 Feb 2013: Graduate School on Genomic Biodiversity Research Funded: In a collaboration between the Muesum König (Bonn), the University of Bonn and the IEB (Group Prof. Bornberg-Bauer), a joint Graduate School on Insect Genomics has been accepted by the Leibniz Foundation and calls for PhD studentships have been issued.
