Three subjects of Münster University internationally among the top 100
The University of Münster is once again among the world's top 100 universities in three fields: This is the result of the current "Shanghai Ranking" by subject ("Global Ranking of Academic Subjects"), a comparison of universities by the ShanghaiRanking Consultancy. According to the ranking, the subject of mathematics made it into the 51-75 ranking group, while the subjects of chemistry and communication sciences made it into the 76-100 ranking group. In a nationwide comparison, chemistry achieved the best result with a ranking of 2-5, followed by mathematics and business administration in the 3-4 ranking group. With educational sciene (3-7), communication sciences (5-7) and computer science (3-10), three more subjects are in the top 10 nationally.
The Global Ranking of Academic Subjects 2022 compares the achievements of 1,800 universities in 54 subjects. The evaluation includes the number of publications in high-ranking journals, the citation rate of the publications, the proportion of publications with international co-authorship, and high-ranking prizes and awards received by the scientists.
