Tree Discovery Trail
Go on a nature discovery tour in the middle of the city! Our Tree Discovery Trail takes you to eight stops in the Schlossgarten. Each stop introduces you to the inhabitants of the garden’s tree ecosystem. These include woodpeckers, deadwood and mushrooms, insects, the uses of wood, bats and tree species. Signs at each stop provide detailed information, along with vivid illustrations and quizzes to test your knowledge!
The information at each stop of the tour is only offered in German. An English PDF brochure is available on the website.

Wild Lime Tree
In January 2007, the hurricane Kyrill uprooted numerous trees in the Schlossgarten. With sponsorships for a Wild Lime Tree, committed citizens helped to reforest the tree population. The website documents the project and the personal inscriptions on the signs that lie at the foot of the trees.
