Prof. Dr. Hugo Fortes
The research stay at the Institut für Kunstgeschichte at the WWU focused on the investigation of artworks spread on the public space of the city of Münster, that discussed the relationships between site-specificity and natural environment. During the visit to Münster, it was possible to document these artworks by photography and to have an on-site experience of their relationships with the surrounding space and the public.
It was also possible to deepen the knowledge of these artworks, by means of bibliographic research, lectures and discussions with the curators of the Skulptur Projekte Münster, professors and students from the WWU - Münster. It was also presented a lecture on this theme by the visiting researcher at Forschungskolloquium of the Skulptur Projekte Münster Archive. The partial results of the research were already presented also in Brazil in a lecture at the III International Conference Art and Nature at the University of São Paulo and the research results will be soon presented in detail in a paper to be published. Prof. Ursula Frohne and Prof. Hugo Fortes discussed several possibilities of further cooperation, that shall be fruitful for both universities.
