Got more time? Great!

The city of Münster has a lot to offer for everyone who would like to stay a little longer. Right in the immediate vicinity of our conference venue are the famous St. Paul’s Cathedral, Liebfrauen-Überwasserkirche, St. Lamberti Church, the historic town hall and the well-known shopping street on Prinzipalmarkt. Also within walking distance are the archaeological museum,  Geology Museum of the University of Münster, the LWL Museum of Art and Culture, the Pablo Picasso Art Museum, the Botanic Garden and the City Museum of Münster.

Visitors arriving early on Wednesday, or those who are spending Saturday in the city as well, can visit the weekly market (Wochenmarkt) in front of the cathedral. Ideal for families are also the LWL Museum of Natural History with its planetarium and the Allwetterzoo in the south-west of the city. To the north, just outside the city, lie the so-called Rieselfelder – a vast European bird protection area where you can enjoy a lovely walk and then stop for a bite to eat at the Heidekrug.

But if there’s one place you absolutely must visit, it’s Bömske’s Sweet Factory, a little shop in the old town where sweets are made!
